In the first quarter of this year, China's construction machinery industry continued to accelerate its internationalization, with a significant increase in the proportion of overseas business and rapid growth in exports of construction machinery products. The latest data from the China Construction Machinery Association shows that in the first quarter of this year, China's construction machinery exports reached US$16.066 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24.3%.

Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan, China's construction machinery exports have maintained rapid growth. According to the head of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, export value increased from US$20.96 billion in 2020 to US$60.169 billion in 2025 — successively surpassing the US$30 billion, US$40 billion, US$50 billion, and US$60 billion milestones.

The rapid growth continued in the first quarter of this year. Besides relatively stable international market demand, this growth is attributed to the continuous improvement in the technological level and performance of Chinese construction machinery products, which have gained widespread recognition from overseas users. Currently, Chinese construction machinery companies are paying more attention to international market operations and are continuously deepening their presence in major overseas markets. Construction machinery products are now sold to more than 230 countries and regions worldwide, with more balanced market coverage, and the resilience of construction machinery exports continues to strengthen.
Su Zimeng, President of the China Construction Machinery Association: Throughout 2026, my country's construction machinery industry has made new progress in intelligent, green, and integrated development. The technology, products, and services of construction machinery manufactured in my country are increasingly able to meet the needs of the international market, and the industry's trade export volume is expected to maintain steady growth.
